These terms govern your use of this website. They are written plainly because a document nobody can read protects nobody.
Every game named on this site is fictional, created to illustrate how a two-score review method works. Any resemblance to a real product, studio or publisher is unintended. The measurements, hour counts, mod tallies and breakage rates are constructed for the same purpose and should not be cited as findings about any real title.
Nothing on this site is paid placement. No studio, publisher, storefront or mod author has any influence over what appears here, over the order in which entries are ranked, or over either of the two scores a game receives. No review copies are accepted and every title is bought at retail with the publication's own money.
Both numbers describe one specific version of one game on one machine at one moment. The shipped score describes a clean installation of a stated build. The modded score describes that build under a community load order assembled to the rules on the method page.
Neither number is a prediction. A load order that produced our second score may behave differently on other hardware, may break with the next official update, and may include mods whose authors have since stopped maintaining them. If you install anything described here, you are working from a snapshot rather than a guarantee.
This publication describes what community modifications do. It does not instruct you to install them and takes no responsibility if you do. Modifying a game may corrupt saves, may breach the terms under which you licensed that game, may affect access to online services, and may render a working installation unbootable. Those consequences are yours.
The material here is provided as it is. No promise is made that it is complete, current or free of error, and the surveys in particular are explicitly described as provisional counts that have already reversed conclusions twice. Nothing on this site should be treated as professional or technical advice.
